Quick checks for your own connection: your IP address, whether IPv6 works, whether a website’s name resolves, and how far your data travels. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is saved.
Your IP address
Checking…
This is the public address websites see for your connection. We show it to you only and don’t store it. On mobile data or behind a VPN it may change often or belong to your provider.

DNS lookup
DNS turns a website name into the server address your device connects to. Look a site up using Cloudflare’s public DNS (1.1.1.1) to see if its name works.
Ping to cities
How long a round trip takes from your device to Amazon Web Services data centres. Under about 30 ms to Sydney or Melbourne is typical on nbn in the eastern states; Perth and regional areas are higher. Mobile and satellite connections are slower.
